Front of House Duties

'Front of House' is really any part of a performance venue that is open to the public. Working Front of House provides an excellent opportunity to meet our members, while learning more about the company and providing a very valuable contribution. Without Front of House staff, a show cannot go ahead!

We expect all our members to provide FoH support when they are able & not already involved in a production.

Duties include:

Ushers meet and greet the public before the show. They help to direct the public to their seats, sell ice creams in the interval and watch for any problems as Fire Watcher during the show. This means you'll often get to watch some of the the show for free!.. so long as you keep an eye on the rest of the auditorium too.

Bar Staff

Each performance requires 2 (and sometimes more) people to staff the patrons bar. As well as serving drinks, you'll be responsible for taking interval orders and restocking. Not only do you get to meet lots of new people whilst working as a team, but you'll normally be able to leave early once everything has been tidied up following the interval.

Managing the coffee bar, you'll be responsible for making and selling simple hot drinks and snacks.

First Aid

Do you have a first aid at work qualification? At least one first-aider is required for each performance to protect the safety of cast, crew and the public. Let us know if you have a valid certificate - after all, who wouldn't like to watch the show for free?
